No Border Camps, autonomous zones meant to challenge border militarization and migration controls, were organized in Montreal and along the US/Mexico border this past week. In Montreal, migrants and their allies gathered at the Centre de prevention de l’immigration, the Laval immigration detention center, on November 10-11, to stand in solidarity with all those detained as part of the growing efforts to fortify borders and control the movement of people.
