Solidarity Across Borders is a Montreal-based network engaged in the struggle for justice and dignity of immigrants and refugees. We are comprised of migrants, immigrants, refugees and allies, and come together in support of our main demands: the regularization of all non-status people (Status for All!), an end to deportations and detentions, and the abolition of security certificates.
A photo exhibit documenting the organizing of Solidarity Across Borders (SAB) and allied groups will be displayed at various locations in Montreal this fall and winter.
The exhibit is comprised of 24 medium-sized photographs, mounted on 12 black frames, with descriptive captions. The exhibit is also accompanied by silhouettes representing Montreal migrants who have resisted removal in the past several years. The photos are a partial and incomplete glimpse into the diverse organizing that constitutes migrant justice struggle in Montreal.
The detailed schedule of the photo exhibition and related events is listed below.

The Solidarity ID & Status for All
Video-Discussion-Exchange about Self-determined Identities
at FRIGO VERT
To culminate the Solidarity Across Borders photo exhibit at Frigo Vert, there will be a discussion and exchange about the multiple ways we fight to assert our own self-determined identities as individuals and groups. A video about the SAB March on Ottawa 2005 will be shown, as well as a short presentation about the ongoing "Status for All" campaign. This will be followed by a presentation about the "Solidarity ID" introduced by Frigo Vert to allow everyone to assert their own identities as they see fit. A discussion will follow, to exchange perspectives on the right to self-determine identity. If you need childcare or have other needs, please get in touch.
