Bills are skyrocketing, rent is beyond reach, forests are ablaze, healthcare is being privatized. We are in the midst of a worsening inequality crisis. Migrants who grow the food, care for the sick, and build and clean homes bear some of the heaviest burdens. Lack of permanent resident status strips them of basic rights and protections, although without them society would grind to a halt.
Regularization, climate change, access to healthcare, fighting the housing crisis, and ending the exploitation of workers go hand-in-hand. Achieving justice and equality for all requires permanent resident status for all.
On September 17, 2023, the day before Canadian Parliament returns, let’s rise up across the country for STATUS FOR ALL. United we are strong.
