Wednesday August 20th, 6-9pm
Lorne Centre, 2390 rue Ryde, near station Charlevoix
We will be giving an orientation for new SAB members on August 20th, overviewing the organization’s protocols, analyses and structure. We will go over the decision-making processes and communication tools of the organization and flesh out our demands in relation to our framework of committees, assemblies and, coalitions. While this workshop is structured for new members of SAB, anyone who wants to get involved with SAB is welcome to join.
We mobilize around these main demands: an end to deportations and detentions and the abolition of the double punishment of migrants with criminal records. We demand Status for All! and are building a “Solidarity City” campaign. We take action by engaging in popular education, support work, as well as political mobilizations, including demonstrations, pickets, delegations, and direct actions.
Everyone who agrees with our demands is welcome to get involved and participate in the orientation!
There will be free childcare, food and English-French-Spanish translation at the orientation.
